Abs Express OR Core Challenge

Type: Toning,, Strength

This 15-30 minute class is designed to tone and sculpt your abs.

Active Recovery

Type: Stretching, Flexibility, Rehabilitation

This 30 minute class is designed to utilize several techniques to help you relax and recover

Arms & Abs

Type: Toning,, Strength

This 30 minute class is focused on two main muscle groups: the arms and the abs and is designed to tone and sculpt.

Aqua

Type: Cardio, Strength, Flexibility

Choreography: Level I/II

Impact: Low

Equipment: Pool or waist-deep water

Done mostly vertically and without swimming typically in waist-deep or deeper water, it is a type of resistance training. This is a low impact class for all ages. Spend an hour in the water stretching and doing light resistance exercises. This is a great class for rehabilitating the body!

Barre

Type: Cardio, Strength, Flexibility

Inspired by ballet, pilates, dance, and yoga. Barre classes focus on the lower body, developing strength and flexibility from the ankles up though the calves, knees, thighs, and glutes.

Booty Bands / Booty N Abs / Legs, Buns N Abs

A high energy class where you get to use your mini trampoline to get a fun, effective workout that's easy on the joints. The mini trampoline allows you to get your heart rate up, while having a blast!

Cardio Dance

Cardio H.I.I.T.

High Intensity Interval Training is a calorie burning, fat-blasting workout. You'll take your heart rate high and low for short bursts of cardio during this intense routine. 

Cardio Kore

Equipment: Usually None. Sometimes weights will be used.

This HIIT class will help to increase speed, agility, power, and sports performance. Some light to medium weights may be used.

Cardio Step

Cardio Step is a choreographed step aerobics class done to the beat of the music while getting a great sweat.

Chest & Back Circuit

Chest & Back Circuit is designed to work opposing muscle groups for maximum results. You'll get s a little cardio in addition to your strength training as you do back to back exercises.

 

Dance Jam

This is a 30 min workout where you don't need any equipment to participate. The goal and focus of this workout is to tone and sculpt.

High Intensity Strength Training (HIST)

This is a 30 min strength training class. High Intensity Interval Training utilizes both upper and lower body sculpting exercises simultaneously so that you get the best bang for your buck with this fast-paced class. We don't take breaks during this class so you'll get a little cardio throughout the class as well. 


 

Hip Hop Hustle

This is an easy-to-follow dance class built like a line dance style class, with basic dance and hip hop moves. You won't even notice how hard you're working because this class is so much fun to do.

INSANITY

INSANITY is an extreme, high intensity and physically demanding program.  Emphasis on Cardio, Strength and Agility/Coordination will ensure once you complete each workout, there will be an endorphin release party to celebrate your hard work!

MetKon RX

This Full-body interval strength training class has smart high-intensity functional training that boosts your metabolic rate and burns calories hours after the workout). 

MetKon Rx uses simple pre-programmed interval circuits to improve strength, power, athletic performance, and core stability. This is a fast-moving, fun, and results-driven workout that will utilize body-weight, along with light and medium weights.  

P90X

PiYo™ / P90X Fusion

A strength based class that will work all muscle groups in one workout using a combination of hand-weights and body weight exercises. TBB will help to increase strength, tone muscles and burn fat. This class is set to intervals timed weight training and short rests.

U-Jam

Zumba Gold™

Zumba designed for beginners or populations that need a dance class that isn't as complex as a traditional Zumba workout. This dance class combines Latin and International music with fun simple choreography.

 

  

 

KEY:

Type: This refers to the main focus of a class.  Cardio, Strength, and Flexibility are the 3 main types of classes Group Fitness Live offers.  Cardio refers to training the aerobic and anaerobic systems.  Strength refers to increasing muscular strength and muscular endurance.  Flexibility refers to improving overall range or motion.  A class may have more than 1 specific focus.  

 

Choreography: Group Fitness Live breaks choreography into 3 distinct levels; I/II/III.  Choreography does not correlate to how physically challenging a class is but rather how mentally challenging.  “I” indicates simple to understand movements and recognizable names such as jumping jacks or push ups. “II” the choreography starts to create movement patterns for example doing 4 jumping jacks and 1 burpee.  “III” refers to challenging choreography that is not supposed to be mastered the first time it is seen.  It is designed to help stimulate the brain as well as the body.  The patterns become more intricate and complex; offering turns, spins, and twists.  

 

Intensity: Group Fitness Live defines intensity in 3 levels; I/II/III.  The intensity refers to the physical challenge of the class and how much work or effort will be required to achieve the maximum amount of benefits.  “I” is an intensity level that requires little to no effort to perform the exercises presented to achieve the overall benefits from the class.  “II” will require a moderate amount of effort to achieve the benefits of a class, you may experience some sweat, fatigue, discomfort here.  It likely will not last long and will unlikely be all three.  “III” will require a high level of commitment to achieve the benefits of the class.  Expect to sweat a lot, breathe hard, work to fatigue, and struggle to achieve the benefits from the class.  

 

Impact: Group Fitness Live classes are all taught either High Impact, Low Impact, or a combination of the two.  High Impact indicates that there will be several times in the class where both feet are no longer in contact with a surface at the same time.  Low Impact indicates one foot will always be making contact with a surface throughout the entire duration of the class.  High and Low Impact means that exercises will be introduced and options will be given to execute an exercise for high impact or low impact; the participant can choose which variation is most appropriate for them.  Please note all Aqua classes are considered Low Impact even in instances where both feet may not make contact with a surface due to the buoyancy of the water itself.  


Equipment: Group Fitness Live makes recommendations for the different types of equipment a particular class would require to be able to complete all exercises presented.  An instructor may or may not use all the recommended equipment for each class every single time and will coach you at the beginning of each class what you will be needing.
